Branko's Easter Garden
Look
at this brilliant Easter Garden that 9-year old Branko made for a School Project. Isn’t it fab ! It goes without saying that he won a well-deserved First Prize but, unfortunately, the picture
doesn’t show just how much detail he put into the finishing touches.
He collected sticks
whilst out walking with his Mum, Sally, and fixed them all the way around the edge of his garden, and decorated smaller sticks
with one of his favourite things – Flowersoft. He used the brand new colour, Delphinium Blue on the twigs to create
bushes, and also to decorate the edge of his ‘Welcome to Branko’s Garden’ sign. Well done, Branko
!

Photo Pyramage Cards - by Helen
Helen is totally new to card-making but already is producing some
beautiful projects.
Here, she has created a layered ‘pyramage’ effect
using her own photos, which she has printed out a number of times, trimming each layer slightly smaller each time.
Helen’s Daughter, Hannah, has also been ‘bitten by
the bug’ and is creating some works of art of her own.
Welcome to the wonderful world of crafting, ladies !

Beautiful Anniversary Card - by Vicky
Vicky is another relatively new lady to card-making and her projects are going from
strength to strength.
She likes to try out different techniques to see how they work on their own, and
how they work in conjunction with other techniques, creating very unusual finished projects.
Vicky has just started working with the Glitter Girls Embossing Boards, and has made
this lovely Anniversary Card using the Border Bars.

Wedding Card - Made by Sue Gelman
Sue has created this lovely Wedding Card using pearlised ivory cardstock, and a selection of
colour-toning embellishments. The colours and textures work beautifully together, creating an overall delicate effect
for a very special card.
Sue suggests that, for a card for a very special occasion, or one which has been decorated with
embellishments that stand proud of the card, they are presented in a matching box. Not only does this help to protect
the card, but it turns the card into a gift !
Thanks for that, Sue.

'Fan' Card - Made by Marian
Wow ! Wow ! Wow !
This absolutely spectacular creation has been made by Marian for her Mum,
Jeane's Birthday. Marian is totally self-taught and certainly has a flare for design and colour, as you will see
from this outstanding project.
The vibrant colours really bring the project to life and Marian has 'feathered'
the edges of the individual paper feathers to bring even more reality to her design. She has then layered them to form
a fan effect. You would think that she's used real feathers, wouldn't you ?
Well done, Marian. I bet your Mum will save this forever !

Iris Folding Christmas Trees
- Made by Linda Mayoll
Linda was so impressed by our selection of iris folding designs,
that she decided to have a go herself - and here is the result of her very first attempt ! Isn't it great ?
Like myself, she's now hooked and is going to try other designs,
using different types of papers. We can't wait to see what she comes up with next !
Well done, Linda.

Iris Folding 'Thank You' Cards - Made by Craig and Lucinda
Two of our younger visitors have created these wonderful Iris Folding Cards,
using reflective shimmer papers. Both Craig and Lucinda enjoy all card-making techniques but their current favourite
is iris folding.
They have personalised their cards, and added their own specific message
using peel-offs. Well done to both of you !

Basque Ornamental Card - Made by Modwenna Humphreys
Mod has created this fun ornamental card and accompanying display case from one of the new Card
Carousel Templates.
Mod says she enjoys working with this range of templates as all the Projects made start with
A4 size card, rather than the larger A3 sheets which are normally used with templates.
She has used red, shiny card to create a 'sexy' design but this could be toned down using cream
and ivory as a keepsake gift for a new Bride.
Congratulations, Mod - this is truly a work of art !

Made by Jeane Gee

Jeane has very kindly provided a detailed instruction as to how she created
this effective layered design card, and the products that she has used. I hope this will encourage you to have
a go ! Thank you, Jeane - and well done !
Shopping List - Brown and Cream Card, Medallion Stamp, H2o Colours,
Silver Ink and Embossing Powder. Heat Gun, Small Sticky Pads (all items purchased
from Cards Galore - And More !)
Method - Cut a brown card so that it is 13cm square when folded. Cut
a single 10cm square cream card with a crinkle edge blade. I then used the Medallion stamp and printed it four
times using silver ink and silver embossing powder,( 2 brown and 2 cream backgrounds).
After they were dry, I selected the H2o colours and filled in the
parts of the pattern I had chosen to colour. When this had dried I cut out the Medallion parts required. With sticky pads I then formed the decoupage. Finally,
to finish the card off, I added a small glitter stone.

Boxed Wedding Car - Made by Yvonne
Yvonne has created this beautiful Wedding Car and Display Box using one of the famous 'Arty Farty'
Templates - isn't it gorgeous !
She has used clear acetate in the box so that you can see the car within. She has used
coffee and cream colours to match the theme of her friend's Wedding. The colours could be adapted to match the occasion
in question, and decorated with 'occasion appropriate' embellishments. Well done, Yvonne !

Boxed Anniversary Card - Made by Marian
Marian, who lives in sunny France (lucky thing !), has made a beautiful
25th Wedding Anniversary card, which she presented to friends in a matching box.
She has used some of our embossed snakeskin papers, gorgeous pearlescent
mica papers and mirriboard, and has embellised her design with paper flowers and a maribou feather, which adds softness
and movement to her finished project.
